What is the State of my Portfolio of Accounts?

Ever wonder what the state of your portfolio accounts is? Get started by viewing this video from our resident market analytics expert. In this tutorial you'll learn what your overall portfolio of accounts look like as well as how many total events they are having and the year-over-year trends.

 

 

 

Is my account’s industry segment prominent in specific markets and brands?

  1. Navigate to the Top Segments tab.
  2. Locate My Assigned Groups Only [x] on the black task bar at the top. Click the [x] to turn it to a [✔]. This will update the data/graphs to show your assigned accounts.
  3. Accounts are displayed by industry and sub-segment rather than by name to show which segments are active within given markets and brands.
  4. Use the Select a Metric dropdown menu (top left corner) to organize data by:
  • Δ YoY Event Count
  • Δ YoY % Share
  • Δ YoY % Growth
  • Total Event Count

Knowland Tip: Try starting with Total Event Account or Δ YoY Event Count.
The bar graphs analyze brand, hotel, and market share of accounts from each segment, as well as average size of meetings.

 

How many meetings is my account having?

 

  1. Navigate to the Top Groups tab.
  2. Check My Assigned Groups Only ( [✔] ).
  3. Select Total Event Count in the Select a Metric dropdown menu (top left corner) to see how many events your accounts are having and at which brands.
  4. Hover over any cell to see additional metrics on an account’s events at a particular brand.

 

What is the overall year-over-year trend of my account’s meetings?

  1. Select the Δ YoY Event Count metric.
    Knowland Tip: Δ YoY Event Count is the easiest way to view an account’s trends.
  2. Hover over any cell to see additional metrics on an account’s events at a particular brand.

Knowland Tip: Use this view to determine which brands are losing or gaining share. Green cells represent positive trend in number of events. Red represents a negative trend in number of events.
